I am currently listening to Jen Sincero’s most recent book “Badass Habits” , and as always, she is kicking my butt with all of the juicy knowledge she knows that I need to hear. In her most recent book, she really gets to the core of transformation with: habits. How to understand them, recognize them, break the bad ones, and stick to the healthy ones.
To me, I feel that creating positive and healthy habits start with knowing your boundaries. Creating healthy boundaries, to me, really starts with : victim mindset.
Victim mindset really tends to hold on to what little energy we may have when we are feeling things like: being alone, feeling resentful, feeling angry, and so forth. When you start learning to practice readical self love, and learning to appreciate YOU, love YOU, feel grateful for YOU; well, victim mindset no longer feels welcome at the pity party. When we learn to welcome self love and self worth into our lives, we beging to create healthy boundaries between ourselves and our bad habits. Setting healthy boundaries also steers us towards being in more touch with reality, communicating better with others, and being more in control with our own lives.
Boundaries and habits are not hard to integrate into our lives, but they do require work to keep them there. Remember:
- YOU know you best
- YOU know what want and value
- YOU know your emotional and physical expectations, wants, and needs
You are the number one authority on YOUR needs, so trust that you are capable of building boundaries and habits,your future self will thank you for it, and your life will be lived in much more bliss and happiness:)
