Freedom of expression, the right to hold opinions without interference; the declaration tells us we have these rights, yet on a daily basis we are suppressed in so many different environments for our opinions, hopes, dreams and more.
The first step in standing up and making sure your voice is heard is to not suppress your emotions. Emotions are a journey, often a friend, sometimes an enemy, but in the end a life journey and not something that we can escape. We constantly try to get over our emotions, when we should be facing them. Denying our feelings paralyzes us from standing up for ourselves and shaving the freedom to speak our mind.
Those that can’t control themselves control those around them, and that is toxic behavior, and it is important to stop allowing these negative nellie’s wreak havoc on your life. Their destructive and catastrophic thinking can spread and linger.So how can we stop allowing those with toxic behavior to influence us?
We often unknowingly allow these toxic individuals to monopolize our time and minds, even when we are not around them.Take back your power by surrounding yourself with positivety, and like minded people.
2.) Stand up and speak out
It is important to practice assertiveness. It does NOT mean being rude or pushy, it means asking for what you want in a way that is respectful to others and brings a sense of truthfulness and confidence to yourself.
3.)Don’t be afraid to say no
Saying no is an important life skill that i wish we could learn at a younger age.saying no can take away that painful anxiety you have and turn it into joy.Feel conflicted and full of angst is unhealthy, and saying no without guilt is ok.
Unfortunately in life, people will either judge you fairly or harshly, but never , EVER let anyone suppress your dream. YOU are the only one that has control over your actions, and I KNOW you got this. I believe in you!
